About the Designer

Growing up in a largely female dominated family, designer: Jodie Rosekelly was one of eight (YES EIGHT) sisters. Living on the Australian coastline, beach life was a certainty and swimwear a must for any girl, but finding a fitting pair in new season colours/prints, a hard task. Fortunately/unfortunately Jodie’s measurements along with her sisters were not the standard size eight top & bottom. So after years of having to either buy two pairs of swimmers to get the right fit and/or swap the bottoms & tops with another sibling to create a fitting pair, Jodie decided to design and have manufactured in Australia, her own.

From an early age Jodie would sketch bell bottom jeans, gypsy skirts and bikini’s for her Mum to whip up on her sewing machine after a long days work sewing lounge cushions. Once assembled, Jodie would use old clothing’s gems and labels, hand stitch them on to her creations and create a unique piece for her beachwear collection.

Now in her twenties, and recently married, Jodie has decided it’s time to share her passion for swimwear design with the world and launch her label: ROSEKELLY Swimwear!

The name “Rosekelly” is the eight sisters maiden name and an easy choice for the beach fashion label! It is an ongoing legacy to the her family and will allow their beautiful name live on after marriage.

Each collection is named after one of the Rosekelly sisters and reflect their individual personalities through pattern and design.
