I recently bought my first (but definitely not last!) Rosekelly bikini and was so in love with the fit and unique design that I used it in my shoot last week. It added a sultry, glamorous edge to the images that I couldn’t have gotten from any other bikini.

]]> With the clock at 2:45am on this fine aaahhhh Sunday morning I simply can not stay in bed with my eyes wide open any longer thinking about this design. My most amazing thoughts come to me as my husband lay motionless and I try and count sheep.

Tonight: Clean lines, high cuts, extra additions in gold plated trims and the most vibrant fabric to catch even a blind mans eye will take shape. So up I get, snatching the sketchbook and pencil (kept next to my bed at all times) and head to the studio. I simply must get this down on paper, for like a dream when I wake tomorrow, I may not remember… eeeeeekkk quickly sketching whilst the fresh bright light burns my eyes and the tiles send my toes to tingle with their cold presence, I  really want a  cup of English breakfast tea with honey and skim milk but no rest for the wicked, (literally) I cant risk wasting time to indulge in my comforts when the fire in my mind is putting on a spectacular show.

Now with design in hand, facebook status updated, and the events of the past hours blogged, I feel so much better and know our Rosekelly Sweethearts will love my latest creation….. but now I am wired, so am thinking a one-piece is on the way.

Nighty night, can not wait to share my midnight sketch madness but now it’s time for a midnight snack and cuppa

]]> Sometimes it’s a walk on the beach, a book or a creative session with the team that can inspire a new design. What makes your creative juices flow?

I personally get my best ides when I lay in bed with my novel after a healthy meal with my husband. The book takes me away to another land where the traffic isn’t a constant hum, and the mind is free to create without distraction…

Plunging necklines, waist hugging one pieces with sexy high cut bottoms and unique fabrics bringing to life the essence of summer. Dressed in perfect nude heels, elongating the leg and creating beautiful lines, finished with emerald jewels, manicured hair and sleek sunglasses…… I can visualize it all! Quickly I grab my sketch pad (always by my bedside) and before you know it, it’s 4am and I’m buzzing at the computer emailing my pattern maker and starting the wheels in motion to bring my vision to life.
